An outing with whole gang!

We decided to go on our first outing with the entire gang! After the boys were fed and changed, the diaper bag loaded, the other kids went potty etc... we all loaded into our van. Now we bought the 8 passenger van because with our entire family we take up 6 seats, so we wanted to make sure we could take around parents and more than one friend when we needed too. The thing we haven't figured out yet is the correct loading order... with the twins in the front captain seats and B. in the middle seat we thought Papa and the other kids could get in from the back... easy for the kids, but not so easy for Papa (oops, sorry).
Once everyone was in we did our sound off...
Adrienne, check! Cooper, check! Papa, check! Grandma B., check! Oliver, check! Sullivan, check! Daddy, check! Mommy, check!
Too many people in this van, CHECK!
When we got to our destination, the National Harbor, I felt like we had a circus clown car as we all piled out of the van.... we just kept coming and coming!
The whole gang!

The kids checking out the new home of one of our very favorite sculptures... a giant called "The Awakening"
(Part of the 11th Annual Sculpture Conference in 1980, which included the installation of 500 pieces of public art throughout Washington, D.C., “The Awakening” is a cast aluminum sculpture depicting the arousing of a bearded giant. The piece is actually five separate ones – head, hand, outstretched arm, bent knee and foot – arranged in such a fashion as to suggest that the giant is breaking free from the confines of the earth.) Personally, we liked the giants old home better. It was at the tip of Hains Point in D.C., surrounded by the Potomac and settled in a nice area with trees, lots of grassy areas and a park nearby. It is pretty right on the harbor, but not as kid friendly and will take some getting used to!

The boys liked it, I think, they slept the entire time.

Cooper chillin' and the kids hanging out in the giant's mouth.
Papa's being attacked!

Yeah they are home. Congrats, now it slowly gets crazier from here. It seems like forever ago we were doing this. Your posts take me back. They are so cute.
